The journey to get here was just as breathtaking as the fjord itself. We explored the fjord up close on a RIB tour — speeding past waterfalls, spotting three eagles (including a white-tailed one the guide hadn’t seen in a year!) and yes, drifting on open water 😅 Is the hype real? Kayaking to a glacier for the first time ever — wh Kayaking to a glacier for the first time ever — what could go wrong? 😅🛶 We paddled 6 km across a glacial lake to reach the Austdalsbreen glacier in Norway. Beautiful? Absolutely. Easy? Absolutely not. After surviving the kayak, we strapped on crampons and hiked 2 km across the ice — stepping over deep crevasses with only a guide rope between me and my fears 😬🧊 Would I do it again? Geilo — tucked away in a valley in Norway, and wha Geilo — tucked away in a valley in Norway, and what a place it was 🏔️ Known as Norway’s favourite ski resort, but in summer? Hiking, wildlife & pure adventure. We hiked the Pilvegen route with stunning views over the valley, tackled the intense Prestholtsetter trail in National Park Hallingskarvet, and visited Langedrag Naturpark — where I got to walk with a husky (spoiler: it’s a full workout 😅🐕).
