This is a palette that got a huge amount of attention on social media when it dropped. Glaminatrix Cosmetics came out with a genuinely bold palette — just look at that fierce orange. I can definitely imagine this palette not being for everyone. But that green, that orange, paired with the more neutral tones alongside them — I'm loving it.
As I've mentioned before, I think Glaminatrix is a brand worth paying attention to. The one catch is that it's an Australian brand. You can absolutely order their products through their own website, but they're not responsible for any import taxes.
Bonfire
Bonfire is, well, exactly what it sounds like. Glaminatrix drew inspiration from the colors of a campfire for this one. The palette is meant to capture life outdoors: the warm glow of the fire, the ash left behind once it dies down, and the green of nature around it. What do they say about the palette themselves?
Turn up the heat with the Bonfire Palette, a fiery palette of 12 high impact shades inspired by the colors of a crackling campfire. From the warm glow of flames to the cool tones of ashes and smoke, and even rich earthy greens for the outdoors, this palette captures the essence of a night by the fire.
The packaging

There's no getting around it: the color. The packaging is genuinely bright orange — properly bright. The material has a plastic-leather texture, with flames embossed into it and the brand name and palette name printed in shiny gold lettering. When you open the palette you'll find a black cardboard interior holding 12 eyeshadow shades. These shadows are removable — you can rearrange the order however you like, or even mix and match with shades from other Glaminatrix palettes, as long as that palette uses the same magnetic system. There's also a solid mirror built into the inside of the lid!
What's inside Bonfire
Unfortunately, one of the shades arrived broken: Kindling. So I wasn't able to photograph or swatch it, which is a shame, because it looked like it might have been a really cool multichrome. Aside from that, this palette genuinely made me happy, and it still does. Personally I think of it as more of an autumn palette, but that shouldn't stop you from wearing it in other seasons too. I also always love how Glaminatrix has such a clear vision for how they arrange their eyeshadow shades. On the left, the two rows of three form almost their own little color theme — Bonfire, Cinder and Smoke naturally pair beautifully together. They basically nudge you in the right direction.

All in all, the palette normally has twelve shades total, six of which clearly have a matte finish. The other shades come in four different finish types: shimmer, duochrome, multichrome, or iridescent.
Let's start with the top five shades: Evergreen, Wildfire, Bonfire, Cinder and Smoke. Evergreen, the grey-green shade, was a touch on the patchy side to apply. Wildfire was an absolute dream — so soft, and looks almost like a duochrome. Bonfire is a matte shade again, a warm red with a pink undertone. Cinder could definitely be called iridescent. Smoke is matte once more, and I found it to be a really lovely warm, basic brown shade.
Then there's the second row, with the regular six shades. Pine is a green shade with a yellow undertone and a matte formula — I'd almost call it a bit of a murky green, but I mean that in the best possible way. Then we get Embers, which, well, is just a green party of its own. Next up is the showstopper of this palette: the matte orange. After that, the gorgeous warm Blaze shade, followed by Ashes, an ashy grey matte shade. And finally Smolder — definitely multi-toned, but I'd still call it iridescent too.
